Procedure

Phase A – Add Phase A materials in order into a vessel under shear mixing. Begin heating to 176°F (80°C). Phase B – Add Phase B to separate vessel under shear mixing. Heat to 176°F (80°C). Once both vessels are uniform and at heat, add Phase A to Phase B separate vessel slowly, increasing shear mixing speed. Begin cool down. Phase C – Once batch has reached 149°F to 158°F (65°C to 70°C), add Phase C to batch with continued shear mixing. Phase D – Begin adding Phase D in a dropwise manner to the batch. Batch will begin to thicken. Once batch has reached a pH of 8.5 to 9.0 place in desired mold. Press and allow to set for at least 24 to 48 hours.
